Python and Microsoft

Apparently I am behind the times a little, but Microsoft is suporting Python in Visual Studio!

It’s not really all that surprising I guess, Python in Azure, setting up Hadoop, it only makes sense.

Codeplex is even hosting PyTools, which will allow you to use Visual Studio 2010 as an editor for CPython and IronPython, with  intellisenseFind all referencesgoto definition and local and remote debugging!! You can’t yet do formatting (Ctrl + A; Ctrl + E+ Ctrl + F).. but baby steps right?

Not so sure how I feel about Django yet…

But I’m glad that I now have an excuse to learn python to leverage in Blender…
