How do I debug That?


Well it turns out that you can’t…

You can not debug into C++ on an XP machine from the newest tool-sets, contrary to what is posted at the MSDN Blog  Windows XP Targeting with C++ in Visual Studio 2012

If this concerns or pertains to you I recommend seeing that the issue (bug) is closed as by design see here

Messages:

Error while trying to run Project: Unable to start Debugging.

  • The Microsoft Visual Studio Remote Debugging Monitor (MSVSMON.EXE) does not appear to be running on the remote computer.
  • the Debugger cannot connect to the remote computer.
